Christian Borgvall, one of five brothers who all play at Stockholm Squash Club, got his campaign in the men’s 55+ draw at the Frans Otten Stadion off to a winning start with a 11-4, 11-2, 11-6 win over Germany’s Frank Gunther on Thursday.

Sofia Zrazhevska – a squash role model in Poland and Ukraine!
European No.1 junior Sofia Zrazhevska may be only 18 years old – but she is already a role model for younger squash players and has made her own life in Warsaw after fleeing from Ukraine.
Zrazhevska is currently top of the European Squash Federation girls’ U19 rankings after winning the recent Polish Junior Open in and lifting the European Junior Open in July without dropping a game. This year also saw her make her debut on the PSA World Squash Tour, where she has already reached two quarter-finals. She was also part of the Poland national team which won Division 2 bronze medals at the ESF European Team Championships in Uster, Switzerland.
Sofia moved to Warsaw from Ukraine with her mother and younger sister three years ago, a few weeks after the Russian invasion. Although she quickly became part of Warsaw’s squash community, her mother struggled with the language and being away from her wider family, friends and partner. After a year, she returned to Ukraine, reluctantly leaving Sofia alone in Warsaw.
Sofia now coaches juniors and adults several days a week at the Legia Warsaw Squash Academy as well as training, travelling and competing in junior and senior-level tournaments. She admit
